David A. Kelch, FACMPE

 

David A. Kelch, FACMPE is the founder and principal of Mid Towne Consulting, LLC.  Founded in the mid 1990’s and Mr. Kelch has worked with physicians, medical groups and hospital systems throughout the Midwest.

 

Mr. Kelch has served in various capacities with the SSM Health in St. Louis.  He most recently served as the Executive Director of the SSM Medical Group, a multi-specialty medical group serving the metropolitan St. Louis area.
 

He has a personal background and experience within the following specialties; primary care, ob/gyn, allergy and immunology, cardiology, gastroenterology, breast surgery, general surgery, endovascular surgery, endocrinology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, podiatry, pulmonology, sleep medicine and rheumatology. 
 

Mr. Kelch has been active in health care management since the early 1980s. He began his career with a local hospital.  In his capacity at that hospital, he handled leasing and operations of multiple medical  buildings.  He learned much about the business of practice management through working with physicians to procure financing with local banking institutions, hiring staff, setting up operations, evaluating billing systems.  He has a grass roots level of experience as a foundation.  Throughout the years as the health care industry has changed, Mr. Kelch has had the privilege of working with many physicians and health systems to provide assistance in implementing the never ending changes that continue to present themselves.
 

In an effort to promote the knowledge base of practice managers, Mr. Kelch has been highly active in the professional association industry and has served as past president of the Medical Group Management Association–Missouri (MGMA-MO) and currently serves as a Member at Large for MGMA National.
